System Requirements

  • macOS 12 (Monterey) or later
  • Active internet connection

Installation Steps

  1. Go to www.privatebyright.com/download and select macOS.
  2. Download the .dmg file.
  3. Open the .dmg file.
  4. Drag the PrivateByRight VPN app into your Applications folder.
  5. Open the app from your Applications folder or Launchpad.
  6. If macOS asks for permission to open an app from an unidentified developer, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.
  7. Sign in with your email address and password.
  8. Select a server or click Quick Connect.
  9. Click Connect.

The kill switch is enabled by default. If you encounter issues, see VPN connection troubleshooting.
