If PrivateByRight VPN is not connecting, work through these steps in order:
- Check your internet connection. Disconnect from the VPN and confirm you can browse the web normally. The VPN requires an active internet connection.
- Try a different server. The server you selected may be temporarily unavailable. Try another server in the same country, or use Quick Connect.
- Switch protocol. Go to Settings > Protocol and switch between WireGuard and OpenVPN. Some networks block specific protocols.
- Restart the app. Close the app completely and reopen it.
- Restart your device. A full reboot can resolve many connectivity issues.
- Check your firewall or antivirus. Security software may be blocking the VPN. Temporarily disable it to test, then add an exception for PrivateByRight VPN if that resolves the issue.
- Update the app. Make sure you're running the latest version of the app.
- Reinstall the app. Uninstall and reinstall the app from www.privatebyright.com/download.

- Your operating system and version
- The app version you're using
- The exact error message displayed
