How to use split tunnelling

Split tunnelling lets you choose which apps or traffic goes through the VPN and which uses your normal internet connection.

When to Use Split Tunnelling

• You need to access local network devices (printers, NAS drives) while connected to the VPN.
• Certain apps don't work correctly through the VPN.
• You want to reduce VPN load for non-sensitive traffic.

How to Set Up Split Tunnelling

1. Open the PrivateByRight VPN app.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Select Split Tunnelling.
4. Choose which apps to exclude from the VPN tunnel.

Important Warning

Apps excluded from the VPN tunnel use your real IP address and are not encrypted by the VPN. Do not exclude browsers, messaging apps, or any app where privacy matters, unless you fully understand the implications.
