After connecting to PrivateByRight VPN, you can verify that it's working correctly using a leak test.

Steps to Verify Your VPN Connection

  1. Connect to PrivateByRight VPN.
  2. Visit ipleak.net or dnsleaktest.com.
  3. Check the following:

What to Look For

  • IP address: Should show the VPN server's IP and location, not your real location.
  • DNS servers: Should show PrivateByRight DNS servers, not your ISP's DNS servers.
  • WebRTC: Should not reveal your real IP address. If it does, disable WebRTC in your browser settings.

If a Test Fails

  • Ensure the kill switch is enabled in Settings.
  • Enable Private DNS in the app settings.
  • Disconnect and reconnect to the VPN.
  • Try a different server or protocol.
